hi! I too had a Nance. My nance started really irriating my gums and 4 months into the treatment he removed it. I was worried that it might have a negative impact on my treatment but he assured me that it wouldnt. so far so good. I too have had to deal with those unsightly gaps as he wanted to move ...

Jesse, I agree with Lisa. Your tongue WILL toughen up. I was the same way and I really started to hate the thing! Before you know it you won't notice it's there. Hard to believe but true. I had mine for about 4-5 months. In December I went in to have it checked out because the button irritated my gu...

So will the loops disappear as the gaps are closed or will they remain in the form of a loop. I ask because I feel that I see my gaps closing but I don't see any change in the loop itself! Is it just wishfull thinking on my part??? :?

Closing or loop wires

Hi All, I've been braced for about 7 months. I had two upper bicuspid extractions when I first started my brace journey. I was originally equiped with a nance appliance but it was removed a couple months ago. On my last adjustment, about 2 weeks ago, I was given a stronger wire with loops. THe ortho...

Same thing happened to me too. Mine gave me a hard time at first. I'd wake up in themorning with excrutiating pain. Then it went away for a few months. Everything was fine up until 4 months into the treatment. I was in so much pain and I was trying to be tough. I couldn't take it anymore and called ...

I would go for the nance...i had it for 5 months (had to be removed because I started experiencing some inflamation). I had a hard time getting used to it. You speak funny at first and you will think that you'll never be able to talk but you will. You'll also have to get used to eating with the wire...

I know what you mean. All the time anymore. I'm at 5.5 months and I havent' seen much change recently on the extraction sites. I'm so sick of these gaps. I just had an adjustment and I was hoping to start closing the gaps. He keeps saying next time. And up until yesterday i kept asking at every adju...
