A bit down - braces not coming off anytime soon

had my adjustment last week and asked the question "when". My ortho says "well they should be off this year" My initial estimate was 20 - 24 months. I'm at 2 years next month. I don't want to still have braces at Christmas time! I'm so over them right now. Just needed to ve...

you tend to take longer to brush in the beginning. Once the novelty wears off you will do it in a much quicker time. :D Just make sure you aren't brushing too hard.

In my experience with root canal - if the pulp is removed the tooth is already "dead" for want of a better word. That is why they don't hurt any more. The nerves have been removed. They slowly go darker as time goes on & eventually need crowns. That's how it's been for my 3 root canall...

wow Tim your teeth look great! I'm glad they sorted out your retainer problem - it can't have been comfortable the way it was.

(I'm not jealous either lol)

two wires on top arch?

Has anyone had two wires on their top arch? I had an adjustment yesterday & he has put the regular square wire on top, then added a second wire with bends & tweaks in it to move/hold my front teeth. Plus small power chains on each side & my usual elastics configuration. The bottom arch i...

I'd be voicing my concerns too. Maybe you need to find someone else to finish your treatment.

you guys make me seem like a lightweight! :D

I've only got:

4 molar bands
8 ceramics &
9 metal

no elastics right now.

As you can see I'm missing a few teeth!

Funny idea for a Christmas contest too - well done!

my 5 year old son swallowed a button battery when we were living in China. We had to fly home to Australia to get it surgically removed. I was really worried the battery in his tummy would set off the alarms in Shanghai airport so I took his xrays showing the battery with me just in case! (It didn't...
