Re: I know it's normal, but loose teeth are freaky

I've experienced this a couple times, and it's very tempting to constantly use your tongue to push the tooth back and forth and feel the little "click." It usually only lasts for a day or two though.

Yeah, I've heard about the color not matching your teeth sometimes. I plan on getting mine bleached professionally before I get the bonding done so that doesn't happen.

Braces off in about 12 weeks! Question about "bonding&a

So I went to the ortho last Thursday for my monthly adjustment (they've been every 3-4 weeks for the past few months) and I did the usual. I sat down, opened my mouth, ortho checked my charts, then he gave me a new elastic configuration. When I was getting ready to leave, he told me if I wear them l...

They usually reserve that at the end. I'm in the final stages of my treatment and they are just now working on my midline. I have the most awkward rubberband configuration. It goes from my bottom left canine to my top right canine. But I only have to wear it at night when I go to sleep. It's impossi...

Early? Meh. I'm late! I'm into my 24th month (est. treatment time was 20 - 24 months), and I probably won't get mine off 'til maybe 3 - 6 months from now...

A lot of people are saying spacers were painful, which is a surprise to me. I didn't even feel mine. Maybe I have a high pain tolerance. The most painful part of this whole experience for me was getting the muscle between my two front teeth clipped (I forget what it's called), and getting 4 wisdom t...

Yeah, I keep an extra stash in my car now. Just in case I forget to throw them in my pocket before I leave the house.

Exactly 2 years ago today...

I got braced! I was looking at my ticker and noticed that it said "2 years, 0 months." Then I took a look at the calendar and noticed that today was June 8th! Exactly 2 years ago today, I got braces put on. Boy, does time fly. All of my gaps are closed, and my bite is probably 90% correct...

Like everyone else has said, WEAR THEM 24/7. The longer they're off, the longer your treatment will be. Teeth/bones move so fast. Even leaving them off for just one hour will set you back a bit.

There are probably hundreds of different configurations. In my treatment of only 18 months, I've gone through about 10 so far ... I get a new one at every adjustment almost lol. But this most recent one is really weird. I've never seen it done like this before. I'll try to provide some pics soon. Bu...

I must have a pretty tough mouth because my mouth always adjusts to new things (brackets, tubes, bands, etc.) within 3 - 5 days. But I drink a lot of water every day. Probably 5 or more full glasses a day. I don't do any salt water rinses though. So you should probably up your fluid in take to keep ...

Powerchains work really fast. I had a noticeable gap between my two front teeth, and the powerchain closed that gap within ONE WEEK! My ortho kept it on for a few months though to retain the new position of the teeth I guess.

My resolution is to wear my elastics like I'm supposed to so I can get these things off by the summer or fall of this year. I don't wanna bring in 2009 as a braceface, not like there's anything wrong with being a braceface haha. I'm just ready to get these things OFF!

I didn't start noticing any major changes until about my 6th month when they started adding the "gadgets" - powerchains, steel ties, etc. Now everytime I go for an adjustment, the assistant is amazed at how fast my teeth are moving, when in the first 6 months they hardly moved at all. So j...
