You are only 18 days post op, no way you face is healed and the elastics hold the position of where everything goes. Most doctors say 24/7 only remove to eat and brush. Anyway you can do what you want, just remember is your bit goes out of wack good chance because you didn't wear yoour elastics.

I'm post op 24 days and I still have no feeling in my upper lip, nose, cheek bones and half of my lower lip. As well as no feeling in my chin. I've got the itches though so something's slowly coming back :)

yup they fixed my chin up not sure whats it called they pretty much cut the bone and slide it up and attach it with brackets (my x-rays are full of metal now in my face) and yes I do talk alot at work and it is hard and makes my mouth/jaw sore by the end of the day. smile2006= I got upper, lower done with my chin and Le Fort 1. I had an overbite, crossbite and my mouth wasn't wide enough. And I had a gummy smile.
