You are only 18 days post op, no way you face is healed and the elastics hold the position of where everything goes. Most doctors say 24/7 only remove to eat and brush. Anyway you can do what you want, just remember is your bit goes out of wack good chance because you didn't wear yoour elastics.

I'm post op 24 days and I still have no feeling in my upper lip, nose, cheek bones and half of my lower lip. As well as no feeling in my chin. I've got the itches though so something's slowly coming back

Well now I am very interested to hear what the doctor tells you tomorrow, I suppose like they say no two people are the same and healing times can be very different depending on many little factors in life.
