Ok here is how it's going for me. I too have this gigantic gam between my front two teeth and I will have to have frenectomy but my ortho says it'll be done after my gap closes while I'm still in braces. The real kicker to my post is that my 19 month old daugter tripped at my parents house on yester...

Congratulations on getting your lowers! At my last adjustment my ortho said it won't be long until I get mine too. I've had little if any problems with the uppers but I'm scared to death  when I'm finally full metal, I'm gonna feel the affects....

Personally, I start with the back teeth running the pick over each one of them with my mouth clenched really tightly with a small opening almost like I'm going to blow a bubble (that way the water just eases out of my mouth) all while bent over the bathroom sink. May sound like a lot of work but I d...

I've had the top teeth banded for a little over 2 months now. I just got to the point where I can bite with my front teeth, but it's a weird sensation ( :x ) so I just stick to biting from the sides or tearing stuff up!

I wondered how the "no gum" rule was going to apply in my life, I absolutlely love to chew it with bubble gum being my favorite. I've been braced for a little over a month and have only tried sugar free bubble yum and the extra flavors. I've not had any trouble with sticking but the chewin...

Thanks for your replies. I tend to probably agree that the electic brushes may be hurt my tooth too.
