Today was my 2nd ortho appointment post-surgery. Hmm. I had a bit of a shocker today. As for the appointment itself, he didn't do much but look and compliment. The stitches are still in (and it hurts when you tug on my mouth!) and I can only open 30mm so that's not a shocker he didn't do any ortho w...

Those are really great pictures anabel. I'm totally convinced I win the contest for looking the worst right out of surgery. No exaggeration. =P Your profile looks great already so you should be psyched about the soon-to-be actual profile. =)

I'm excited for ya Chris! That's interesting they throw away the blood - you'd think if your eligible to donate it, it'd be donated?

Eat up while you can. =)

Today is day 17 post surgery. I can't believe the time's gone by so fast! So what's new with me.. My lower lip is slowly regaining sensation. I'd say a good 30-40% is back to normal. My chin is still missing sensation although I get a weird tingy-pins-and-needle sensation when I try to fall asleep. ...

Today I had my visit with the ortho and also the surgeon. The ortho was so happy to see me. He was really excited with the outcome and said out of all the patients he's seen just one week after surgery, I'm 'up there'. I figure he's just being nice to a swollen teenager, but it was nice to hear none...

A doppelganger! =] My lips were pretty beat up after surgery too - but an assortment of lipbalm, blistex, and vaseline have gotten back to normal. No more sores at least! I feel you on the numbness thing - my chin's doing horribly.

Happy healing and rest lots!

I think I've peaked in swelling. Well, that's what I'm hoping anyway. I'm a bit bigger than yesterday.. it looks like I've gained 10 (maybe 15) lbs just in the face. :P I look.. square. But it's not getting me down. I figure it'll ride itself out. The surgeon gave me a call today and answered a lot ...

Thank you so much for the support you guys - it's nice not to be alone. Ah, I assume the anesthesiologist was just trying to be funny. He warned me outside the OR he had lots of bad jokes up his sleeve. And yes, I gotten the question "so what exactly was the surgery for?" from a lot...

Ah, found myself a working keyboard, albeit very old. My thoughts may be very disorientated and long-winded but feel free to read on anyway. When I got to the hospital, I was asked to change into hospital gowns around 6:50-ish. I was in a room (the pre-surgical room?) where they put the IV in me and...

I am alive! It was not an easy 1st night though. I am back home in one piece (sort of) and feeling much much better now. I would update longer if my keyboard is not acting funky! (It now types extra letters. This took 10 times longer to type than it would normally because I had to go back and fix it...

Thank god for good dentists or what Meryaten? =] I haven't planned anything yet.. I've been eating pretty well this week that I don't know if tomorrow will be extra special :P. I'll have to see what I'm in the mood for tomorrow. We're probably going for lunch and dinner tomorrow because no one in th...
