I’ve seen websites making retainers and have considered it. But it’s also nice getting from ortho since they know about your treatment and needs

When you floss around your permanent retainer, do you also floss the retainer itself? I often can’t tell if there’s actually food stuck or if it’s just glue

I’m in a similar situation (stopped wearing retainer, but mostly due to my own laziness, and now it won’t fit). To be honest, I’m afraid of going back for a consult because I feel like ortho will judge me for my laziness lol

Does the wire on the wraparound seem flimsy since it’s only anchored to the acrylic at one point in the back?

I also noticed this issue and thought it was because the essix retainer prevents teeth from touching when biting down, which makes the bite feel weird

I ended up replacing my Essix retainers every 2-3 years, almost always because they’ve cracked somewhere. It’s pretty annoying to have to replace them so often, so I recently gave up on retainers lol

I have the fixed retainer and can confirm it is very inconvenient to floss those teeth. It’s basically like flossing with braces again

(How) do you know if it’s an issue with the palate vs the teeth have just tilted?

Is it possible to get braces on wisdom teeth to straighten them out so that you don’t have to get them extracted?
