Just be careful. It’s the biggest mistake of my life and I’m suffering greatly because of it. Only go to someone who has done this many times and don’t be afraid to stop treatment if things aren’t working out well.

In my experience a couple of millimeters is significant enough to make a big difference. If that I’m fact happened maybe you should give them a chance to correct it or find another ortho who will? I understand the desire to just get them removed though, but I’d hate for you to live with the negative...

Are you happy with the way your teeth look? If so, I’d leave it be. There’s no guarantee that braces will fix functional problems like jaw clicking.

Why didn’t Dr. Hang work out? I’m curious because I went to him and he put me in an open bite accidentally and didn’t know how to get me out of it. I’m considering going back to him though as I believe he is the only one who can bring my bottom teeth forward which is seriously needed in my case.

I’d just go for it. They may be surprised by it but there’s no shame in having braces, and soon enough everyone will be used to it. Maybe wait a month into starting the new job to do it. Good luck!
