Re: Choosing an ortho - self-ligating vs not
I chose self-ligating braces, in my opinion they are better than traditional braces as you don’t need ligatures therefore more hygienic and they don’t put as much pressure on the teeth as they have self ligating brackets. I would do your research before seeking another consultation as there is plent...

Re: How do they fix midline?
I can see the pics now. Your mid line looks fine to me. You want to see mine it’s nearly 4 mm off when I measured it this morning.
Your teeth looks great.

Re: Are masks helping you cope with braces??
What braces do you have? I have the Damon clear self ligating and most people don’t know I have them due to the 2m rule but yes I think now is the perfect time to start dental work if you feel self conscious.

Re: Help my gap has started to open within one day
Thank you :) My dentist has just advised to wear the elastics he has gave me to close my anterior bite. As he has fitted a spring he says it should help move the top arch along and the elastics will help with bite so we will see. I’m not seeing him again for 6 weeks so let’s hope it doesn’t undo all...

Re: Drinking coffee with Damon clear
I have Damon and they are as clean as the day they were fitted. I think the Damon are quite good for not staining.

Re: Poll: At What Age Did You Get Your Braces?
I started my treatment at 32 and wish I had started years earlier as I let my teeth misalign and move to the left after a tooth extraction so now my midline is off and my bite is open.

Re: Please update for those undoing extractions (extraction reversal)
My dentist is reopening space where I had a tooth removed my old dentist didn’t advise that it would affect my catches and face symmetry however after a few years my teeth have all moved left and my mid line is about 6mm off. I am currently 5 month in and can see a different and the specs is opening...

Re: How do they fix midline?
I can’t see your pictures but I am having a lot of trouble with my mid line. I now have springs on one side to try and push the teeth around. It isn’t working so far though

Help my gap has started to open within one day
Hello I am currently wearing the Damon self ligating ceramic braces. The braces are brilliant as not that visible and I am currently 4 month into my treatment. I had a power chain on to close my front gap and to bring my teeth around. At my appointment yesterday the power chain was removed and I was...

Re: Metal or Ceramic?
Ceramic all the way. I really dislike the look of metal brackets. I chose self ligating clarity braces. Most people haven’t noticed them unless really up close.
I never considered metal brackets but from research in general I don’t think metal braces are any better or quicker than ceramic.
