Power chains not closing gap.
I posted this post before but I wanted to get some more opinions if possible. I’ve had a gap close to the gap that has now been created that closed within a few days, and I am VERY frustrated because I have a gap in my lower two front bottom teeth that has been here for TWO months. It has closed a l...

Re: Small gap between two front lower teeth not closing
Your ortho is probably not actively trying to close the gap at the moment. As they move teeth around they need some space. Typically the small gaps are closed up with power chains towards the end of the treatment. I did not have my gaps closed until 2.5 years into a 3 year treatment. Usually once t...

Small gap between two front lower teeth not closing
I have had a gap in my lower two teeth for maybe like 3 months now, and it has closed a little but there is still a small noticeable space. I can’t fit my tongue in it anymore so that’s good but it’s still not closing! It’s really concerning/irritating because it is such a small one. I asked my orth...

Not comfortable wearing elastics (jaw surgery process)
My orthodontist finally made a mold but hasn’t looked at it and told me if it fit yet  He said he wanted to close up a small gap in my bottoms row two front teeth. He said once that is closed and he removes my turbo blocks if the bite fits he’ll give me an okay for surgery. I’ve had this botto...

Re: Mold made for my teeth but no feedback?
Hey Honey Bee, I would think the oral surgeon should be able to look at your teeth too and judge whether you're ready. Although it would be nice for you to have the direct communication regarding the process; I would also suggest having oral surgeon call orthodontist directly to ensure there is no ...

Mold made for my teeth but no feedback?
Last week I had an ortho appointment for adjustments and then the day after I had my oral surgery appointment for insurance approval. So my ortho appointment was just suppose to be for a rountileh 6 week tightening, but they made a mold of my teeth. I was told they do the mold in the end process whi...

If braces come off will teeth go back to the way they were?
I have an appointment to submit approval for surgery and as it gets closer I have worries. I should’ve thought it threw that my surgery probably wouldn’t be approved since I have Medicaid insurance. Ever since my braces have been on my bite has gotten much worse like they said it would, and I can’t ...

Isn’t not being able to eat or speak medically necessary or is that not considered that?

Would insurance cover braces and not surgery?
I got full approval for my braces, but they have not sent out pre approval for my surgery yet. I’m eight months in a one year treatment. I’m going to make an appointment with my surgeon for him to send out pre approval request. My fear is of course my surgery won’t be approve and I’m left worse off ...

Has anyone had luck with Medicaid approving jaw surgery?
Hello, I’ve recently mentioned how I’m in 8 months of a 1 year treatment. I haven’t had the surgery approved yet. They told me I had to wait until it was close to surgery time send in pre approval/approval for the surgery. I’m very depressed and stressed, because I am scared the surgery won’t be app...

Not sure of the next step to pursue surgery
I signed a treatment plan that stated I would be ready for surgery within a year. I’m about 8 months in and nothing is being arranged. They haven’t made a mold yet and are saying they’re gonna make it within a year. This makes no sense because I need to know if my surgery will be approved, and my su...

[quote=assertives post_id=506206 time=1545205095 user_id=30576] Depending on how large the gaps are, I think it will close fairly quickly as in within 1 appointment cycle. Gaps do sometimes happen between teeth. I've had a few of such gaps too. They are not visible, but I certainly felt it when I fl...

How long does it take gaps cause by braces to close?
I’ve recently got a gap in my bottom teeth, and I’m wondering how long it will take it to close it’s it super huge but noticeable. It was caused by braces which is confusing because they just closed a gap from braces a few months ago... now I have another one is this normal if anyone knows?
