I was wearing it from the age of 17-18 and i've worn it outside once or twice but i wouldnt make it a regular thing. I wore it to stop my molars moving into my extraction gaps, we were also h...

Braces Are Off!!

Well yesterday was the day when after 21 months of brackets, ligs, molar bands, headgear, powerchains and elastics it was all over. I do apologise for this being rather long. Well the days leading up to my removal saw an increasing ammount of nerves on my part, it was the old butterflies in the stom...

I know the twin block appliance has the same function as the herbst but the twin block is removable so i'd like to suggest that will be a major possibility although im not too sure of its function in adults.

If it is the twin block its not too bad from what i can remember :)

You have very nice arches and really nice teeth but in my opinion your smile is still quite gummy and it looks like your teeth (mainly upper) are quite small and could perhaps be brought down a little.

Your teeth have been brought into well really well.

I have a question form everyone who had extractions. I just recently found out I might also be having 2 extractions of my (4th bicuspids). What I want to know if how long did it take, or is taking for your gaps to close? Because my ETT was 10 months and its been about 4 already, I'm scared that my ...

Glad to hear things are progressing well :) if your not too keen on the aqua ligs dont worry the colour will change slightly as they stain a little, or at least mine did. Aqua was one of the colours i quite liked, i going to miss my ligs

I just had my back molar removed today and although there is a dull ache there there is no real pain to speak of. I've been eating and drinking as normal and everything seems fine, i guess it depends of the tooth / location of the tooth/person.

I've actually heard this can be a possibility due to the removal process i believe, i guess i'll find out on thursday. My suggestion is to use warm salt water rinses and brush the area very gently to give it some time to heal.

My appointments have varied between 7 and 11 weeks appart, which seems like a long time but movement is still happening so its not such a big deal. In my opinion its better for me to go less because my ortho is in the city and im a fair few miles out. Like someone else has said it also can depend on...
