Re: Overjet 10mm. Can invisalign fix it?
My I ask how old you are? Asking because I thought the MA was for teens, and I'm concerned that elastics aren't doing enough with my invisalign. Hope it might be an option for me.

Is Invisalign Provider Ranking or Ortho Board Certification More Important?
In seeking Invisalign treatment, would you prioritize an ortho with the highest Invisalign provider ranking or an ortho with board certification? Only two orthos in my region have board certification. One is a Gold ranking and another is Silver. There are Diamond Plus and Platinum orthos in the area...

Re: Elastics: Buttons vs. brackets w/hooks
Thanks for your replies. What I was trying to get at is if the button or hook would only be placed in the less visible location with Invisalign (like the back molars) but not the top canine for class 2.

Re: Is there any functional difference between invisalign and braces?
From a theoretical standpoint, most forces from braces can be done also with Invisalign. The issue however is how many orthodontists and dentists will actually be able to deliver the same types of results with both. For many years, both doctors and patients have claimed a superiority of results wit...

Re: Elastics: Buttons vs. brackets w/hooks
Do the hooks/buttons only go on the bottom, back teeth for class 2 elastics?

Invisalign and TMJ
An ortho told me she could treat me with Invisalign following treatment with a TMJ specialist. It's been nearly a year with 24/7 splint wear, and I'm considering having her treat me when I finish any month now. Another ortho told me Invisalign wouldn't be best for my case (as in he wouldn't treat it...

Re: Braces at 41
I also have TMJ and deep bite. Could you say more about having to stop working the removable appliances due to deep bite? I've been in splints 24/7 for 9 months and was supposed to be finished by now. I've broken 4, so I feel in many ways it's not working as it should, so I'm trying to guage if it's...

Re: Seeking advice on restarting TMJ treatment
Thanks for your reply. Did the orthodontists refer you to get your TMJ checked out before they could treat you? I've had two orthodontic consultations and both said I needed to have TMJD treatment that they couldn't provide themselves first. I thought my TMJD was mostly better after 9 months of 24-7...

Re: Seeking advice on restarting TMJ treatment
I was trying to say M.E.W. as the doctor's name; but the system marks that name as spam. Could someone please tell me if his school of thought is legitimate? Thanks!

Seeking advice on restarting TMJ treatment
Hi, I'm looking for advice on picking a TMJ treatment provider. It seems like TMJ treatment is the wild wild west! I've been wearing an orthotic 24/7 for TMJD since November. I've broken 4 of them!!! The craniofacial specialist doesn't seem to think this is a problem and is condescending while holdi...
