Re: How effective is invisalign?
Thanks for sharing, nybizzle. It's a shock to me that "Invisalign certification is amazingly just an 8 hour course that any dentist can take."- I would have never thought that!!!
I'm astonished that they can just give a...

Re: My Story Until Now..I would love reassurance :/
It's really unfortunate that there are still so many doctors that can be so unprofessional especially when treating such sensitive parts of body as mouth/face. That's why I always read online reviews obsessively before chosing any doctor so I know what treatment / results to expect. But be wary of f...

Re: Overjet 10mm. Can invisalign fix it?
My overjet is 9mm and I was told by an orthodontist (top in the country with Invisalign) that Invisalign can treat almost any case and that it is a missinformation and common missunderstanding that it is only for minor cases. He estimated my treatment at 2 years (compared to 18 months with fixed cer...

Re: braces ruined my sons face
Swelling can be caused by mouth and lisp being irritated by the braces - it should go after few days though. The point is orthodontic treatment is to make the smile AND face more esthetic - it can be different during the treatment though, but if you have any worries, you should consult other orthodo...

Re: Lisp after getting braces
I found out that if I record myself on my phone and listen to it the lisp is actually much less there than what I hear when I speak. I think it's because we hear our voices quite differently than what they really are. So try to record yourself and maybe it will make you feel better if it's not as st...

Re: 4 brackets in 4 weeks
She reattached my bracket today but it took her 3 tries - whenever she glue it on my tooth and then attach the wire, the bracket would pop out again :D She became quite nervous after almost an hour of poking around in my mouth as there were already many patients waiting in the waiting room so I got ...

Re: 4 brackets in 4 weeks
And I thought I got really unlucky after getting my braces 4 days ago and finding out that a bracket became detached today. I was also trying to eat mostly soft foods and not put too much presssure on my teeth. When my doctor attached my braces, she told me her nurse got sick so she will have to do ...

Lisp after getting braces
Hi, so I got my braces last Thursday (4 days ago). I got ceramic brackets on my top teeth and I also had 2 premolars extracted. The braces don’t hurt me or bother me at all after day 2, which is great... But I have a slight lisp when saying some words, for example “s” sound or “chi” sound (as in chi...
