Hey Jay , that's great news! But I'm curious, they did moulds for your retainers with your braces still on? How does that work? I don't know much about the whole retainer business, I thought they did the moulds when they took your braces off; no? It seems from other people's de-bracing p...

Sorry, I think there's some kind of issue with the quotes.
I previewed and realised it hadn't worked properly but didn't want to type it all out again, so I do apologise for it being hard to read.

Do you people who are paying for treatment have some sort of payment plan which means the account is settled on a specific date no matter what? Or do you have to save for the treatment and pay when it is asked? Yeah I had an actual plan. Every 3 mths I had to make a payment. They weren't really str...

I agree with Dark_angel. Call and see if you can go in to have it trimmed. There's no point putting up with the pain and discomfort! Given that there is only 2 weeks till your next adjustment, you might find that your ortho will do that also when you go in. That's happened to me before.. quite handy...

ROFLMAO! Have to admit I was thinking that "My ugly face spammer" was an odd name for a braces cleaning product! LMAO - I was thinking the exact same thing when I read the other post yesterday. Today I knew better though! downhillsnowskier - Thanks for your response. I was lo...

Thanks Dark_angel.
I had wondered whether it was worth the extra money for the 3 mode. It seems to be quite a significant difference in price!
Now that I know it isn't really worth it I might start looking around and comparing prices.
Thanks again

Retainer Brite and Sonic Cleaner

Hi everyone. I'm getting my braces off soon and am interested in purchasing retainer brite (and probably also the sonic cleaner). For those of you using it... I just wondered if you could tell me whether you also have to brush your retainer with a toothbrush and toothpaste? Or is the retainer brite ...

I paid mine in installments.

An initial amount ($1200 or something similar) on the day of banding and then $550 every 3 months.

If I had the money I would've paid it all up front though.

Jaswi, I'm really glad you bought this up. I've also been sifting through all the old posts in the past couple of days trying to work out which toothbrush to buy! I want one for when I get my braces removed in a months time. At the moment I just use a soft kids toothbrush and a colgate battery power...

Is it similar to porridge?

Hi and welcome to the board. It's a great place to come for support and advice so I hope you find everything you need here. My estimate and actual time are way off (2 years estimated and 2yrs 10 mths for actual)... But really I wouldn't let that worry you. The time flew by!!! 12 mths may be realisti...

Personally, i'm not a fan of the gold.
It could just be the fact that they aren't so common and i'm not used to them though.

Thanks! Yeah sure am.. I can't wait. Down to 5 weeks now which is even better  I'm lots more excited now too because I called in to the orthos today to ask about the front tooth thing. He said from his perspective it doesn't matter and that I can get it done the same day. I went straight to th...

Thanks for the reply genxsis.
I imagine that might have been the case. I probably just didn't realise it at the time (or until almost 3 years later. lol)
I don't mind anyway - at least I didn't have to worry about any pain or irritation to my tongue!
