re: Dental Pick Flosser and back teeth - it took a bit of practice but it was fine after the first couple awkward attempts. :-)

Heh...I totally sympathize re: cleaning process when in a toilet stall! Especially in airplane toilet stalls. :-\

Here's what I did when I broke my wrist during my Invisalign treatment

I'm about 2/3 way through my treatment. I broke my wrist at the end of August and had to wear a cast for 5 weeks. It was more of a hassle dealing with Invisalign at the same time, but I got through it ok. Here's what helped me, in case this helps anyone else in the same situation: - I used the small...

Re: Is invisalign really invisible?

I think you're right -- I think I'd recognize Invisalign braces if I saw them now. I have been wearing invisalign for 3 months and people who are close to me haven't mentioned it. Surprisingly my client who came to visit me last week immediately spotted the invisalign as she knew someone who has it....

Re: New! Invisalign Aligner Cleaning Wipes and Spray

Thanks! I suspect a freight forwarder in the U.S. would still charge a hefty customs/shipping fee, though. Perhaps I'll wait until I visit friends in the U.S. again, and have some of the wipes shipped there. Thanks, Debbie They can't be shipped to Canada, but they can be shipped to a freight forward...

My comic for others who have Invisalign visibility insecurities

Comic-Invisalign-DebbieOhi-v2-flat-600.jpg It's true that Invisalign trays are visible...but they aren't nearly as noticeable as I originally feared (and I have attachments on my front teeth!). I drew this comic for others who may be going through Invisalign visibility insecurities. What I find hel...

Wow, people got some great stuff from their orthodonists!

I received a bag of chewies with my first set of Invisalign trays.

Re: Can Invisalign help with bite issues?

As chinglnc says, I think it depends on your othondondist's skill. I'm getting my Invisalign treatment to correct a crossbite. I'm about 2/3 way through my treatment and so far, I'm super-happy with how everything's going. I'll post again when my treatment's finished with a final answer! :D One reas...

Re: Is invisalign really invisible?

Invisalign is less visible but not invisible, especially if you have attachments. I have lots of attachments, some on my front teeth! :D I was SUPER self-conscious in the beginning, kept expecting everyone to stare at my mouth or to tell me I had something on my teeth. If anyone did notice, they nev...

Re: How painful can invisalign get?

I'm about 2/3 way through my trays and so far, I've found that there is often a bit of soreness in some parts of my gums a day or two after I put in a set of new trays. The soreness is more like a sore muscle rather than "get this out of my mouth" pain, though. I only experienced severe so...

Re: Tooth Shaving

I had my bottom teeth shaved to widen the gaps between them. I'm usually super-sensitive to tooth/gum pain but apart from the "this feels super-weird" sensation, it was no problem. No soreness after, either. Like FlyByNight, my gaps closed up in a few weeks.

Re: Anyone else put weight ON with Invisalign?! :(

Hi Fragglerock, I don't regularly weigh myself so am not sure if I've gained weight, but I did find that (like chinglnc above) I was eating more during meal times so I wasn't as tempted to snack in between. Before Invisalign, I was a constant grazer/snacker and had smaller portions at mealtimes. Now...

Re: Brush your teeth right after meal?

I brush after every meal, as soon as I can....though I'm not as rigorous about timing as I was in the beginning of my treatment (when I always set a timer). I'm about 2/3 way through my trays. On rare occasion when I can't brush right away, like when I'm on a long plane flight without Wisps, I will ...

Re: Essential "accessories"

I'm about 2/3 way through my trays. Here's what I carry in a small pouch every day:

- Mini tube of toothpaste
- Travel size toothbrush
- Floss
- Cleanse Fresh & Go
- Tiny bottle of hand sanitizer
