I have the same change to my face...really high cheek bones and sunken in cheeks. I hate it and hope my face goes back to the way it was. I’ve heard it happens, especially to those who have build-ups/bumpers on their molars so their jaw won’t close fully (like me).

I felt the same after getting mine...like a freak with a mouth full of crap. After 3 weeks I still feel like everyone notices them when I talk, but I’m getting used to them.

I’m almost 3 weeks in and eating is still awkward. Front teeth still hurt to bite into anything so everything has to be cut into bite size pieces (kinda weird to do that to a hamburger) LOL I have build-ups on my back molars so chewing isn’t that easy but it’s better than it was a few weeks ago.

I don't think you'll have to worry about a clear bracket popping off. From what I've heard/read, they are very hard to take off even when you get debraced, and often break when the techs are trying to pull them off. I got a travel toothbrush, a few packs of dental silicone and dental wax, floss threaders as well as a few of the prethreaded flossers with one end thinner so it can go under the brackets, a little brush to clean the food out from the brackets, a small thing of toothpaste and a tube of pomegranate s...

I have clear brackets and I haven’t seen lipstick on them yet, except for the first time I put on lipstick after getting the braces on because my mouth kinda felt numb.

Would’ve been $5800 but I got a family discount and then they price matched to keep me with them (my daughter went to the same Ortho) so I got it down to $4999.

I have a spring to make room for a bottom tooth to come forward. It has hurt my inner lip a few times and I’ve put wax on it to help. My Ortho says doing so won’t hinder the movement of the teeth.

I’m only 2 weeks in, so right now I’m kinda damned if I do, damned if I don’t...smiling with my mouth closed looks like I’m hiding a mouthful of food or something, smiling with my mouth open looks fake since I rarely smile with my teeth showing.

12-15 months for me!

I got clear brackets as I am a self conscious person and I wanted to have them as invisible as possible! I’m only two weeks into my 12-15 month sentence, so staining hasn’t happened yet and I haven’t had a bracket pop off or anything.

I’ve had my braces for two weeks and although Im getting used to chewing with my build-ups in place, my front teeth (top & bottom) still hurt to bite down, so everything is cut into pieces before I eat. I’ve had a few SunChips, but nothing else crunchy so far.
