Re: Bite feels off when I take my retainers out in the morning

About 18 months post-op double jaw surgery. Had a couple cavities filled and my clear retainer doesn't sit properly anymore. Orthos rescanned and made me a new one. Last night I slept with it for the first time, when I woke up this morning my bite felt really off to the point I panicked, and hear I ...

Re: Can't tell if I'm clenching or if my jaw is just wired that tightly shut

I made the mistake of blending a medible into my protein shake about 4 weeks out. Made me feel everything so much more! It felt like I was clenching with thousands of pounds of force!

Re: 17 days post double jaw surgery

Sorry for the late reply @N2DEEP. I am over 7 months out now. I REALLY went through it my first month or 2. I naturally have high anxiety so I was all but convinced everything was going wrong despite my surgeons and orthos all saying everything is fine. I put myself through hell and back. I am 7 mon...

Teeth were sit...

Re: Finding it really hard to stay positive

I had double jaw surgery on 10-12-17. You can go through my previous posts to get an idea of what i went/put myself through. The recovery was sheer hell. Once a day or 2 passed and I started realizing what happened and what the next few weeks/months would be like and I was NOWHERE NEAR READY for thi...

Re: Yawning while wired shut

I had double jaw surgery in october of 2017. Yawning was so weird and i hated it but i never felt i was doing any damage to anything. I was not wired though. I was HEAVILY wired shut.

Call or email your surgeon anyways.

I called my surgeons office and they said i should be fine.
I don't have any pain from it. Just very light pain due to my paranoia causing me to feel around and press around the spot. Im over it.
Thanks for your response and sorry im so paranoid. Heres to no more bumps.

Re: Permanent Numbness

Im 3 months post op. The feeling in my right side of my chin/mouth has came back a month or more faster then the left. The left side currently is at a stand still of very weird, tingly, annoying sensations 24/7. Im not sure if it will correct. But it sure is very annoying. Also, the stretching exerc...

DOUBLE JAW SURGERY SMOKING

Hello all.
I had double jaw surgery on 10-12-17. Almost 3 months ago. I havent smoked since. But I plan on smoking again. Im pretty sure I could at this point since everything is healed up and im basically almost back to normal life.
Any reasons why I shouldnt smoke yet as far as my surgery went?

Re: 4 weeks post op double jaw surgery - TALKING

I went to see my surgeon today. He said all looks well. He gave me these wooden popsicle sticks to do exercises with http://www.craftysticks.com/4-12-Standard-Craft-Sticks-Natural_p_8.html He told me to open and stick a few sticks in bbetween my teeth and leave them there for 5-10 minutes, and each ...
