Just had an Advancsync appliance installed today. It's a type of Herbst appliance. Anyone have any experience? It shifts my lower jaw so that I have literally ZERO contact between my upper and lower teeth. Sigh, back to a liquid diet. I've got 9 months with this thing. Will it always be this hard??

Well, I am three weeks in and I definitely hate them less. I (stupidly) scheduled family photos for 4 DAYS after better braces, and I almost ditched them. I did participate though, and I don't totally hate those either. 3 weeks down... 105 to go
