Re: IMPACTED CANINES CLUB
As promised, update after visit today. We did not move the bracket, we redid everything from last visit, but she did make the spring a little longer to force more space to turn the canine and we also added bands to move my bite alignment. They feel a little weird and were mildly difficult at first t...

Re: IMPACTED CANINES CLUB
Another update from me. This February will make three years and is also how long my ortho predicted it would take to complete. I do not see these coming off in February. :( My right canine is down and in place...it's done! But this left one....is taking forever to move. It is still a bit sideways, b...

Re: IMPACTED CANINES CLUB
Update: At the last update my ortho had attached brackets to both canines. They put the one on the right as high as the could get it and it was not centered and the one on the left was put on the side as my tooth came down sideways. The last couple of month we have just been changing the bands letti...

Re: IMPACTED CANINES CLUB
One month update from last post. After about 3 days of the spacers, one came out and when I went to my ortho to put it back in, she went ahead and put the bands on then. Today at my appointment, she took the button off my left canine and attached a bracket, but it is still sideways and the bracket i...

Re: IMPACTED CANINES CLUB
Decided to give an update. I'm 37. It's been almost a year since my last post. I have been in upper braces for a little over 2 years. Both canines were impacted and we started moving them down in May 2017. Last year in July I had a second exposure done where they burned away the gum around my canine...

Re: IMPACTED CANINES CLUB
It's basically a TPA appliance. It has two arms that extend out and end right below where my canines are. The gold chains are attached to little loops on the end of those arms. So they are pulling them straight down where they will erupt out of the roof of my mouth instead of in line with all the ot...

Re: IMPACTED CANINES CLUB
Wanted to just post an update. I have been in braces for over a year now since Feb. 2017. Exposure surgery in April. We have been pulling on the chains for a year now and xrays show they are moving. The last time I saw my ortho she suggested I go back to the surgeon to have the gum tissue cut away. ...

Re: IMPACTED CANINES CLUB
braceface93- It sounds like me and you are in the same boat. My chains are coming out of the roof of my mouth as well. I too have both canines impacted, they are both high and lying on their side. I have an appliance that has two arms that have loops on the end. My chains are attached to these with ...

Re: IMPACTED CANINES CLUB
Hi! It's been a while since I posted and thought I would give an update, although not a really big one. Last month I did have an xray done. I wasn't able to see it at that appt. as it was taken right before I left and my ortho was with a new pt. I did see it at the last appt. last week though and I ...

Re: IMPACTED CANINES CLUB
No update on them yet. I see my ortho tomorrow and I think we are supposed to get xrays to check. So hopefully something tomorrow.

Re: IMPACTED CANINES CLUB
Chain isn't really attached to my braces. It is attached to the appliance but when they pull on it, it only hurts for about a day or two and then there is no pain.

Re: IMPACTED CANINES CLUB
HI! Was just reading through most all the posts and thought I would share my journey. I am 35 and both upper canines are impacted and laying sideways. For me it is hereditary as both my mother and aunt have this (they are twins). I also had a large space between my two front teeth. Top braces were p...
