I got powerchains on the top 6 and bottom 6 front teeth at my last adjustment 3 weeks ago and they hurt! I have another adjustment tomorrow on the 23rd so we will see what they do this time.

For pain, I use ibuprofen and then I fill a sock with rice, tie the end with a rubber band and put it in the microwave for 35-40 seconds. The heat helps so much. lol I know it sounds weird, a rice sock, but it works!

24 months is my sentence

I usually have them every 5 weeks but my most recent appointment was only 2 weeks after the last one and I have another one that is 3 weeks from the one I just had on the 2nd.

I would wait until you see your orthodontist. They know what is best. You don't want to force your teeth to move faster than they are ready. I was getting aggravated when they didn't change my top wire for 2.5 months but my teeth were moving. Trust me, its best to wait.

I just got my braces in May and I'm 26. Turning 27 in December

The first time, I got lime green and pink, then I went with teal and purple. 3rd time I got green and pink again, this time I got light blue and pink. I have had good luck with all of those colors so far.

When I close my mouth, I have a slight overbite, but when I put my teeth together, the right side, doesn't touch the lowers at all. from my very front tooth on the right, all the way back. Is this possibly something that will be fixed with rubber bands and adjusting some of the brackets?

My total cost was $3950. Well thats what they estimated to me. My out of pocket expense is $2400. Which kind of stinks but it is what it is.
