Re: Retainer Waiting Period
My braces came off on friday Had perm retainer for bottom put in friday, as well as upper 1:1 perm put in . Picked up my Essix upper and lower (Ortho told me that the lower isn't really needed) today. Upper felt a little snug when put on, lower fit like a glove. I am picking up my Hawley upper in 3 ...

Re: Flossing upper bar between 1:!
As a follow up.. I was able to get that Threader floss (oral B) between my teeth. No idea how, given that none of the other threaders and floss seemed to work, but it is the best feeling in the world to be able to floss my entire mouth in under 5 minutes. For anyone else in this boat, just break dow...

Re: Were you nervous to be debanded?
Not Nervous..
That being said, that tool they used to get the glue off.. OMG, I didn't know I had sensitive teeth until that moment. at least 8 of my teeth are sensitive to those vibrations and I felt more pain in those few minutes than my entire treatment combined...

Flossing upper bar between 1:!
I was debanded on couple of days ago... Yippee.. I got a perm retainer on bottom and a bar placed on my upper 1:! teeth (top front two teeth). It is (comparably) supper easy to floss the bottoms, but I am having a challenge with the top because the space between the teeth are so tight. So far I have...

Re: 3 Consultations and Still Confused... (class ii division 2)
You can still ask the 3 doctors. Other questions I asked were about retainers (I wanted permenant, a HAwley and a Essix mostly because this was second time through for me and I stopped first time because retainer broke..and DO NOT want to ever go through this again), and follow-up visits (I wanted t...

Re: 3 Consultations and Still Confused... (class ii division 2)
Here is a silly question: What are the qualifications and years in practice of each of the three? How much experience do they have with cases like yours? As an aside, traditional braces can treat everything that invisilign can at a lower proce, invisilign can not treat everything traditional braces ...

Re: How much more did you have to pay for clear braces?
$250 extra for ceramic tops (did metal on bottom) If it was $800 more, I would have done metal on Top ($250 while not pleasent came out to ~10% of my pretax benefit out of pocket cost of the braces and retainers. $800 would have been closer to 1/3 of my out of pocket cost, which would not have been ...

Re: Deviated midline
Assuming you wear the elastic as instructed, pretty quick (while the elastics are on they practically force the teeth to stay aligned). I initially when from very weak elastics (Wearing them from molars to front most hook) to triangle elastic configuration with heavy elastics (very tight/strong). Ha...

Re: Front tooth pain and pressure
I found (especially during the begining) that all the pressure would be on 1 tooth for between a few hours and a day or 2 (I Infered that it was the most out of aligned tooth of the bunch) and then the pressure would move to another tooth (the new most out of aligned tooth), and everything would kin...
