Re: Finally fixing my teeth.
Wow just realised I haven't been on here in FOREVER, here is my fresh new update: I will pick up where I left off. I finished my first round in early Feb. I got rescanned and my aligners were ordered, I was to have 29 aligners in my refinements and it was almost 100% to be focused on moving out my m...

Re: Invisalign Allergy Side effects upper respiratory symptoms?
I started my Invisalign treatment on Tuesday March 20th 2018. That same day, late at night I began with a sore throat. Next morning, I not only had a severe sore throat but extremely bad sinus infection. I couldn’t believe how overnight I had developed these severe symptoms. My cousin who is an RN ...

Re: Extractions - General Anesthesia or Not?
I only had one tooth at the front out and one that was growing up in the palate of my mouth, I avoid anything that will make me unconscious because I hate feeling groggy and my dentist said no worries and gave me 8 injections so I was beyond numb and would't feel a thing. She was a bit worried the t...

Re: Deciding between two orthodontists
If I were you, I would go the 1st option. I got referred to my orthodontist by my dentist, he is very thorough and amazing. I was talking to a lady at reception at my dentist who said she went to the orthodontist next door to the dental clinic 3 years ago, out of convenience for her because it's rig...

Re: 9 month Invisalign progress
I'm all done for my first round, just got rescanned for my first refinement stage, but I'm very happy with my outcome. I updated my story over in Our Braces Stories, hopefully the link works if you want to go check out my pics :) https://www.archwired.com/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=52064&p=5...

Re: Finally fixing my teeth.
Well I am officially done with my first round of Invisalign! I'm extremely happy with the results, I would be happy to stop here but my ortho is insisting he can do better haha. He said he was very pleased with how speedy my teeth were and gave me some good news I didn't expect; we're going to try a...

Re: How long is your brush/cleaning routine with Invisalign?
Ohh yes, they sell these little hook-like tools, I think you can even get some on Amazon pretty cheap, a lot of people seem to use them instead of their fingernails, it's probably a lot easier with one of those tools. Some of my attachments were quite rough, others I got lucky on and they were reall...

Re: How long is your brush/cleaning routine with Invisalign?
When I first got Invisalign I dreaded eating because I knew I was going to have to spend the next half an hour on oral hygiene haha. I floss, brush and then mouthwash, just an average mouthwash that has fluoride. I was so not looking forward to the next year in Invisalign because with my first 2 or ...

Re: 9 month Invisalign progress
Yeah I'm hoping I don't have too many refinements! I would be pretty happy if this is how they stayed to be honest, I like them a lot at the moment haha. My braces story is here: https://www.archwired.com/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=52064 It's probably not too interesting to read, mainly just bee...

Re: Wear trays at nights only whilst waiting for refinement sets
I'm not sure about the scanning with the attachments on, I know I definitely get mine removed when I get rescanned next month but I'm not sure if they will remove the attachments before or after. My orthodontist told me I will only have to wear my tray at night time also whilst waiting for refinemen...

Re: 9 month Invisalign progress
Found one! it's not super recent, this was my bottom arch about a month and a half ago and it's not front on which is a bother but you get the idea of how much more comfortable it is in my mouth now! My tongue doesn't feel as cramped or something? It's amazing, I'm so glad I went through with all my...

9 month Invisalign progress
Hey guys, Just realised I don't really post in the Invisalign thread much, I mostly just update my story over in Our Braces Stories. I thought I would do a before and after for 9 months, I only have 2 sets of trays left for my first round, I get my teeth rescanned for refinements in early Feb so I'l...

Re: Introducing Steraligner 3-Min Invisalign & Retainer Cleaner
These types of things really work to keep them perfect. My ortho always remarks how my alingers at the time of change over are as clean as day one. I usually soak them in denture cleaner during the time that I'm flossing, brushing and mouthwashing, once a day, usually after dinner. Really want to ch...

Re: Puffy gum, no redness, no bleeding
I have this too! It's been like it for about 4 months, I started Invisalign just over 8 months ago. It's on my left lateral incisor mainly and was slightly my right one. I pointed it out to both my orthodontist and my dentist and they both said that it's because my two lateral incisors are moving so...
