My ortho insisted on putting permanent top and bottom but I refused. That was over a year ago and have no signs of relapse. If I were you, I would call your ortho and get it off.

+1 on the 24/7. I have Essix. Wore them 24/7 for I think 3 months? Now just at nighttime. My teeth have stabilized.

When my back bracket came off, I slid the bracket off the back and cut the wire with some side cutters, as instructed by my ortho. He put a new wire in at my next appointment.

My top 6 were clear. They didn’t stain but the white powerchains did. *the clear ones are also a lot harder to get off. They hurt quite a bit because they kept crumbling when my ortho was trying to take them off.

I had a bad experience while getting braces on. The assistant was grinding my ceramic brackets down with the drill and her hand slipped and gashed my gums right above that tooth and my god did it bleed. She told me I shouldn’t jump like that. I only jumped because you sliced my gums!
