Cleaning Clear Retainers

Hello everybody. I recently got my braces off on Sat, and my ortho made me clear retainers and he showed me how to clean them. He told me to soak them in denture tablets and brush them gently with a toothbrush after. The reason he said denture and not retainers tablets is because, as far I know, we ...

Re: Progress after 2 months and 3 rewiring appointments

Here's an update after my third adjustment appointment. The gap is almost closed and I think at the end of this adjustment period it would be 100% closed. The twisted canine is still not moving or moving very slowly. I got the same colors cause there was no red powerchain. When I asked my orthodonti...

Progress after 2 months and 3 rewiring appointments

Hello everybody :) I feel uncomfortable a little bit to show my teeth since I've always hated how they look like, but here we go. I'm a 28 years old young lady and I had my braces on at the end of December finally after years of failing to accept how my teeth are like. This is a photo I took a day b...

Re: Metal vs Clear: Who wins?

Hello. I settled with the metal brackets, the most basic kind of all, because mainly I hardly can afford to get my teeth fixed and that's the cheapest kind. besides, It's supposed to be faster than the clear kind and I want fast results as well. the colors thing is just a bonus for that's not really...

Re: When did you notice change?

Hello. I'm on my second month now (I started at the end of December) and I can indeed see difference! a quick rundown: I have a big gap between my front teeth on the upper jaw and few misplaced teeth on the lower jaw. I can see that my lower jaw is almost fixed and I'm amazed! the misplaced teeth ev...

Is there a way to 'speed up' power chains?

Hello people. The title says it all. I was wondering if there's a way to speed up the process of closing gaps I can do along with the power chains? Thank you.

Re: Power Chains Help!!

Hello. Well, the only reason I know of is that power chains close gaps and they keep the teeth together for a while to make sure the gaps are gone Why would you need power chains? The most common reason is to close a gap between your teeth. Power chains apply extra force and help move your teeth fas...

Re: Retainer for life?

Indeed worth it. I've been to my orthodontist today for re-wiring and I asked him about that, and he said that some cases require wearing retainers for life, then he added that in my case I will have to wear it few nights a week after the standard period of wearing it 24/7 This is a photo I took tod...
