Re: Do I need double jaw surgery revision?

Your occlusal cant is very obvious. I cannot believe any qualified surgeon would put you into this. Also because of the cant one of your screws - upper right in the pic - is too close to the teeth. Can you share with us who's your doctor?

It would be better if you can post more frontal X-rays or ct. Based on this ceph I personally don’t think the procedure is a complete success. I don’t think The surgeon has an idea of what esthetics is.

Re: Revision of double jaw surgery after 3 years - Veteran here!

Hi Sarah, Thanks for sharing your story and hope everything goes well with you. I have a similar situation like you -- I had Double Jaw Surgery 3 years ago and I end up with a cant and asymmetrical upper/lower jaws. I'm seeking for revision as well. Do you mind to share with us some pics before &...

Re: To Surgeons in North America

Thank you for your comments kplatt, they are very informative. I would even put them in a separate thread. Also adding another surgeon to the list. I've seen some pretty good results from Dr. Jamali (New York), he has a lot of results up on his real self page. Dr. Jamali had a terrible case on Real...

Re: Positive experiences? Anyone end up only doing genioplasty?

Well, after freaking out for a day. I think I’m going to move forward with my orthognathic surgery. My suppprt system pointed out that the sleep apnea I have is a serious issue and I need to address that. Hi desertrose, can you share with me who is the surgeon you plan to go to? I'm currently seeki...

Re: Updates after a botched surgery and Ask for suggestions

You should consult with Dr. James Bertz. He takes on a lot of surgeries that are considered more "complicated" and he seems to really care about his patients. He takes most insurance as well so you'll probably only have to pay $40 co-pay for the consultation. I have not had my orthognathi...

Re: Revision Lefort 1 and plate removal?

Why don't you just keep the screws until the revision, unless the screws are floating or popping out or bothering you? Otherwise there's no need to remove them, especially you are seeking a revision next year.

Re: Dr. Day in phoenix?

Please search my post in this forum and you will be appalled by his result. I'm regretting that every day. Update: After consulting 4 top maxillofacial surgeons in CA, 1 in Dallas and 3 local, I got confirmed Dr Reed Day did screw up my case (very badly) and I've decided to go with a full revision....

The final decision time, with my CT scan pics

It's been almost a year since I started looking for some revisions from my first unsatisfied jaw surgery. I've consulted quite a few professionals and they all have totally different opinions. Here I attached my 3D CT scan (which is more accurate than just plain pics) and I'm asking all friends here...

Re: Updates after a botched surgery and Ask for suggestions

It definitely doesn't appear ideal, I can clearly see your jaw cant. Have you consulted with Dr Sabol in Phoenix yet? He did my surgery and it went perfectly. He does the OMFS trauma wing at HonorHealth Scottsdale too in addition to his own practice. His bedside manor is amazing. He might be able t...

Re: Anyone have jaw surgery with Dr. Reed Day Phoenix AZ?

I can only speak for myself. The double jaw surgery with Dr Day was one of the biggest mistakes in my life. Now I have to re-do the whole surgery with another physician in CA. Please search "Reed Day" in this forum and see how other patients think about him. Also there're some terrible cas...
