I just had a few of my brackets repositioned and my ortho said that they go down in wire size because a stronger wire would cause too much pain (as it was, with a weaker wire I was in a fair amount of pain!). A lot of orthos give their patients sugar-free gum... And as long as you're not chewing really sticky or sugar-y gum it should be alright. Soups are good, mashed potatoes, smoothies, apple sauce... Anything sort of mushy for the first few days will be good. After that ease yourself into harder foods...

Location: 200km North of the Arctic Circle, Canada May I ask the current temperature there?? It's actually only -12C here at the moment. We're WAY above seasonal average though...
