I highly doubt that Orthodontists are making money by using Damon brackets instead of traditional, or other types. Do people actually think that they're charging a premium for using them, marking up the price that's given to the patient? Yes, they can cost more, but I'm certain that the cost is bein...

Fortunately I've had absolutely no problems with doors opening and closing in over a year of treatment.

And am not religious about brushing at all either, on top of eating anything and everything.

I really don't get why people think that orthodontists would advertise false claims when it comes to Damon brackets. From what I understand, brackets themselves are relatively cheap, and the price difference between damon and normal brackets is negligble. Even if there was a price difference, how wo...

That one front tooth deffinately doesn't look right to me, almost like it's tilted inwards

People may not notice it, but you're paying what probobly 5grand for this, I wouldn't (and won't) settle for anything short of perfection, or as absolutely close to perfection as they can get it.

Something deffinately looks a bit off there, not to make you feel more self-concious about it, but obviously get it dealt with now To me it almost looks like the ortho didn't line up the brackets on your teeth properly, and now your top arch looks sort of, slanted But that's just a guess right off t...

To actually widen your arch I believe you need to use a palatal expander

That's a great way to go about it if you ask me. One thing about Damons, my ortho would pretty much refuse to put them on anyone under 18-20, because they're almost considered in the same category as ceramics, aesthetic braces that adults have to worry about moreso than teens. But that's just his pe...

That's very true, a big part of it is what your orthodontist is comfortable working with.

The price difference, from what I understood the price between them and normal brackets was pretty negligible?

Destor many people find damon brackets harder to get used to, due to them not being as rounded or smooth as many bracket types. Also they have a slightly higher profile (out more from the tooth) than most other types/styles of bracket. Once this initial period of adjustment is over ... these bracke...

Personally I'd go with the Damons, for the improved comfort and extended time between adjustments

Hey there Bell, Well I've had Damon 3s for about mmm, 8 months now (wow, it doesnt seem like that long), and have had very few problems with them. The brackets themselves are suprisingly comfortable, have barely even needed to use wax or anything, and when I did it was due to broken wires. When it c...
