Hi, same here... very crooked front teeth and others were drifting to where they were getting crooked (bottoms) where years ago, they were not. I also don't have much to refer to, as to what is 'normal' and if the progress is OK. I just cross fingers and hope - and assume my ortho knows what he is ...

You made the right decision!
I've been trying to avoid doing the braces my whole adult life too and finally got the courage and had mine just three weeks ago. Haven't seen any major changes yet but I am very excited :)

I was really scared and nervous about it too but it's really not that bad! The only pain is the injection for the anesthesia but it was quick. The process of extraction itself did not hurt at all although you'll feel pressure in your jaw but nothing serious. I even stopped bleeding while still in th...

I had my braces on 10/8 and like you my mouth feels really sore and couldn't chew anything. But after five days I was able to chew for a bit and today I feel a lot better just for the sixth day. Mouth still feels sore and teeth hurts cuz they are continuously moving but I got used to it now I guess....
