Thanks for the answer! I hope it improves soon for both of us! It's driving me insane too! And I'm trying to figure out how to chew again. LOL

I had braces a week ago and since then my teeth have already shifted and they simply don't touch in all places, making it really difficult to chew anything. If I close my bite, then the right teeth don't touch and if I try to get the right side to touch, my jaw pops. Does it really happen this fast?...

Yay!! I am waiting to get my bottom ones on in a few months too! How did it go today?

I haven't had my first adjustment yet. It's interesting to read other people's experience!

I was braced Monday and my gums are just raw. I hate it. I sympathize with you!

I have a jetpic. I got it because it also has the water attachment and I'm hoping it will allow me to clean my braces better...we'll see....

I got a t-shirt. Lots of little Christmas tree brushes. Floss threaders. Lip balm. A toothbrush. A "stop eating this now" list. Some mouthwash in case my mouth gets sore. Some dental wax. And a "good brushing" punch card.

My ortho said every 6 months but I think I'm going to go more often. I'm super paranoid about my teeth.

I just got mine today. I opted to violet ones but they had silver colored ones that would prob match up really well.

Got my top braces on this afternoon!! I've been waiting since I was 14 year old for this. (I'm 40 now). The bottom ones will go on in 3-4 months.

So far, they feel REALLY weird. And I made a terrible mess trying to figure out the wax....other than that...so far, so good. Wahoo!!

I'm about to leave now for the ortho! I admit, now I'm anxious about it. But have been looking forward to getting my teeth straight!
