This is where the retainer is placed and the little gap sneaking in on me.
Hopefully my removable retainers will return them back to position.

Gap 3 days after debracing with Fixed Retainer?
Hi, So after 3 Years I finally got my braces off on the Tuesday the 10th of September. It was a glorious day and I am super happy with the results. The assistant in the orthodontist office applied an bonded/fixed upper 4 and lower 6 retainer to my teeth but I noticed that the upper retainer feels li...

Re: Removing lower braces to chew
When I got molar buildups (on both my bottom and top teeth) I was soo frustrated because my teeth wouldn't make contact, my molars ached and I couldn't chew any food but after two weeks I was fine, I adjusted. It will be difficult for the first few days but you'll adapt soon enough. The buildup also...

Re: Coping w/Elastics and Rubber Bands
By now I'm sure you've adjusted to the tension and would've found what worked for you during the adjustment period in your elastics. Wish you all the best on the movement :) I've gone through two different configurations with elastics so far, the first time to move my lower jaw back - lower canine t...

Re: Who has had four premolars extracted AND all four wisdom
In my case, I’m really happy how things turned out with the tooth removal that I needed. I can’t believe how I had all those teeth in my mouth and believed I didn’t need all those extractions. I look at old Pics and realize how crooked they were and now that they have been straight and brace free f...

Re: Who has had four premolars extracted AND all four wisdom
I'm curious about how your treatment has turned out? Are you happy with your treatment and end results? I've had 3 extractions, 2 upper and 1 lower(which had to go either way) and like TumbleDryLow I have a really small pallet which was crowded. I've been advised that closer to the end of my treatme...

Re: Yes Another Elastics Question
I had class III elastics for my edge to edge and cross-bite a few months back, my ortho had me stop them entirely(cold turkey) to proceed with correcting gaps and rotate teeth etc. At first we didn't notice but it was slowly relapsing and yesterday they realized that I'm loosing a lot of the progres...

Re: Best and worst part(s) of having braces?
I do not have my braces yet, I have the molar bands and will have the braces in July. So far here are the worst parts for me: 1. Extractions- I have to do 3. I've done 3 so far, did 3 last week and have dry socket on one so it's painful. It really is the worst thing I've ever experienced. 2. The co...

Re: Best and worst part(s) of having braces?
The worst list always seems to outweigh the good. I'd like to say I relate to number 6 but for one my orthodontist gave me a pleasantly small don't list and two I kind of sneak in items on my no list like a fizzy drink once in a while (haven't gotten in trouble yet x :-* ) Best Part - 1) Just like y...

Re: Extraction *after care help please*
I hot 3 extractions on Monday and now it's yellow and seems like there is puss in it.. I'm not sure if it's puss or food...? I've been drinking ensure.. I got antibiotics but I was wondering if I had to clean the yellow parts or do I just leave it and let it heal on it's own? I am rinsing with warm...

Re: Whats your story?
I always wanted braces because I had smile envy but in the past few years I started noticing that I'd clash my teeth together(with a bit of grinding on the front teeth) and then my high canines started causing lots of irritation and sores often. My first dental check up and cleaning resulted in an a...

Re: How long before you noticed results?
All the best with the upcoming months in braces :) 1. My treatment time is 18 Months (more or less depending on how they move) 2. Traditional metal 3. Within the first week I could see and feel the movement. Compared to how horrid they looked in the beginning they're pretty straight now and its stil...

Re: How many extractions?
Sorry to hear about that . Dry socket is one of the fears I had when going for my extractions. Have you had the dentist pack the extraction gap - I think they put dressing in the gap to help it heal - or have they prescribed you medication to help? I hope it gets better soon and like I m...

Re: How many extractions?
How many extractions did you have in order to prepare your mouth for braces? Yesterday they told me I would need 6 extractions. I am scared as I've never done any extractions... is it painful? Any advice? They also said that towards the end of my treatment they may ask for my bottom wisdom teeth to...
