Severe nose bleeds post op.

Hello everyone so recently I had double jaw surgery and for the most part everything is going well. The first week was not bad but shortly after 1 week I had the worst nose bleed of my life. I had blood pouring out of my nose and down my throat and coughed up blood clots. I talked to my surgeon and ...

Re: Second surgery finished..Late to the party!

You seem to take this surgery pretty easy. Some people say its the hardest 3 weeks of their life post-op do you agree? Is it hard to breath? How is your numbness? To be honest the hardest part is the whole diet and keeping busy. The first few days were rough but as for breathing while in the hospit...

Re: Has Anyone had Plate Removal?

Maybe I'm wrong but from what I understand after 7 years you could go get an xray and no one would ever know you had jaw surgery so the bone would just grow over the plates? I'm only 10 days post op from lefort 1 and bsso. My surgeon has said there is no need to remove plates but I have a "thro...

Re: Hi new member Just got braces on at 30 yrs old

I think everyone is self conscious about it especially being an adult. I find that nobody really judges or says anything and I pretty much live everyday not even knowing I have them lol lots of people get braces now and many are adults. That's my experience anyway.

Re: June Surgery Buddies

Yes infact I have asthma and a slightly deviated nose. It's a little too early to tell you how much better it is but it is better, my surgeon helped clean it up a bit. The breathing is pretty much what justified me going through this to begin with. The worst symptom I'm having is the crazy nose blee...

Re: June Surgery Buddies

I had my double jaw surgery last week, so not quite June. I had a serious underbite that pointed to the left. the plan that worked for me was to keep my lower jaw where its at instead of moving it back, i suffer from mild sleep apnea and apparently in some cases moving the lower jaw back can worsen ...
