Re: Complications post op... another surgery.

I understand what your point is and yes I agree with you because both my dentist and surgeon have mentioned that the mouth is more susceptible to infections being that it general is harder and takes longer to heal because of the moist environment an open wound heals faster when it's dry. It's not un...

Re: Complications post op... another surgery.

Thanks for the reply. I'm confident the setting where I'm having my surgery is very sterile. But there is always a chance and risk with any surgery. I'm not nervous this time around. The surgeon said it will be a simple easy surgery. I'm getting another month off work and I'll be wired shut for 2 we...

Re: Second surgery finished..Late to the party!

I did not need a blood transfusion because all of my vital signs were good during the surgery. I don't know much about your questions about sarpe. The procedure was easy for me. I was in and out the same day.

Re: Fixing my underbite, help?

Just had the surgery last month to fix my underbite but mine was way worse than yours.. your profile looks normal to me I wouldn't go for it. Re: Surgery and work

Just saw my surgeon (30 day follow up,) I'm cleared to start work tomorrow but with 45 days of light duty. Remember I'm in the airforce so they kinda have to take care of me in that regard. Can't lift anything more than 50 lbs, no contact sports, pretty much obvious stuff. Which means I'll be fillin...

Re: Eating is a pain in the behind!

I lost 25-30 pounds in 3 weeks.. mind you I'm already overweight to begin with. Since I started eating again I have gained 5 pounds but I'm also training (don't worry, not lifting anything over 50lbs)

Re: Is 4 mm a significant overjet?

I would consider surgery personally. It's not that bad. Also I don't know if you have any breathing or sleep apnea problems but advancing the lower jaw would help with that as well.

Re: Help with eating?

I had to use my tongue to help guide the syringe.. after 3 days I said f it to the syringe and drank normal but I was always spilling on myself.. it's hard the first few weeks but it will get easier. Can't stress enough how important it is to get that protein for healing.
