Does invisalign hurt as much as the clear retainer?
So I had an expander on for a month and got it off today. The orthos asdistant made me a temporary clear invisalign like retainer to keep my expansion stable while I wait for my aligners to come in. I don't know why but I wasn't expecting this thing to be so tight! I have been eating things I dont h...

Re: Invisalign records appointment booked
My orthodontist reccomends invisalign when possible because its better for your oral health. Might take that into consideration

Any invisalign users have a bite block?
Hi guys, I would post this in the invisalign forum but never get answers there.. Also, sorry in advance for rambling on.. Anyway, I feel like things are taking a bit longer to actually get started for me than most, though as long as things work out, I am fine with it. Still, I am super anxious to ac...

Re: Whats the verdict?
In case anyone is wondering, I have to turn it for two more weeks and then do a final check but it is doing something so that's good!

Whats the verdict?
Hi guys, so for those who don't know my story I was diagnosed with ectopic upper canines (with severe crowding on the left), an open bite and a rotated upper jaw. Went through a couple consults and basically my current ortho said if I wanted to avoid extracting my premolars (which I do if at all pos...

Hyrax expander for only 2 weeks?..
So I am really confused on this one. Will have to ask my Ortho at my next appointment but I got my hyrax rapid pallatal expander today. I asked the tech who installed it if the doc mentioned in my chart how long I will be wearing it. She said it depends on what he sees as far as progression goes. I ...

Thats reassuring but I still don't get how they break the bands from the cement without hurting/damaging or pulling the tooth haha.

How do they make sure your teeth don't come out when taking the palate expander off?
Ok, seems like a silly question, I know.. but I am getting my hyrax expander on in 2 days. After watching videos of the process it seems like getting it on is no big deal but I am hearing mixed reviews about when it comes off.. some coments say it hurt so bad, others say its just pressure and they f...

Hello!
Newbie here, just want to introduce myself. My name is Cyn. I'm 25 and just officially starting my ortho journey. I was supposed to get braces as a teen, even had a consult but for whatever reason, it just didn't happen. Now as an adult, its become a self conscious issue. Something I have wanted to ...
