Re: 2 Months post op - not happy
Keep your chin up! Swelling should be going down a bit now, right? Has the TMJ pain gone down a bit, at least?

Re: Day 1 & EVERYTHING was done OUCH
I had my first aligners and attachments put on at different times - probably just the preference of the orthodontist. Congrats on starting!

Re: How painful can invisalign get?
I've had barely any 'pain.' I read online that taking tylenol an hour before switching a new tray in can help with this; I've found it good to do.

Re: Lost/Broken attachments, emergency or not?
I've had two fall off, but my orthodontist said it would be all right so haven't had them replaced (maybe he's just overly cautious in placing more than necessary....?).
My understanding is that with correct bonding, attachments falling off should be rare, so hopefully this doesn't happen too often.

Re: DC Area Jaw Surgery Buddies
Only started braces last summer, so my teeth weren't too bad (also using Invisalign vs. traditional braces). Both my jaws are being moved, the upper clockwise rotated and forward. You? I'm looking forward to surgery so I can finally be done with this process! It is a long road but I imagine it's wor...

Hey all, having surgery at the end of July too on both jaws. And also starting grad school in the Fall, so fingers crossed that recovery goes well!
