Hi, here's the link for tsa info: http://www.tsa.gov/travelers/airtravel/prohibited/permitted-prohibited-items.shtm I flew in November last year and had no problem with the pint ziploc bag with little travel sized items in it like toothpaste and shampoo. I'm still around, still in braces, just haven...

Wow, that's funny! Weird, but funny. Yes, I have to admit, I 'play' the bands when I first put them in to make sure I have even tension. I don't know if it matters, but it's part of the habit now, so I just go with it. Have no idea what note it is, but I can tell when both sides of a band are in tun...

First, I haven't posted in a long time, but have been checking in when I can. On insurance, a couple of things we've learned is my wife's dental plan would cover my daughter and I each for $1500 of the ortho's treatment plan that includes everything. Nice, so we jump in late 2005. Earlier this year,...

Accupuncture/pressure for pain
Hey all, stumbled across this online and thought it very interesting: http://www.thejcdp.com/issue021/vachiramon/02vachiramon.htm Found the pressure point and it does seem to reduce the pain from this morning's 7th adjustment; new wires, lots of wire ties, powerchain up top across front four teeth, ...

We've just finished scrambling for short term health insurance after my wife's job was recently eliminated and she had the family's health and dental insurance. Fortunately, we found a very good 'gap' health/accident plan until her next job comes along. I'm a software consultant and work for a small...

Motivating my child - please help
My daughter and I had our 5th ortho adjustment on 3/14 and she got a terrible brushing report. They had her go brush because of stuff caught in her braces and she did. She missed most of it, so the tech went and helped her brush. Apparently, she's just hit and miss brushing. The tech read her the ri...

Here are my metallic emeralds I got for St. Pats yesterday! And some new 'spiffy' coil springs to add that little bit of bling. I had copper the first month, then silver, and I wanted something different this time. Y'all be good now!! http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c332/dukestroy/strton31406sm.jpg

I had my 5th adjustment today and got brand new first time springs on my bottom arch today. Here's my new 'stuff': http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c332/dukestroy/strton31406sm.jpg The teeth behind the springs aren't attached to the brackets. It was quite an interesting adjustment, lots of stuff go...

Welcome and congrats! My ortho did the same thing - top braces and all the molar bands my first time. After spacers, I was glad he did all the bands and I didn't have to do spacers again. That was 10/6 of last year and he waited until last month to do my bottom arch. That's how much overbite I had; ...

I don't have ceramic uppers, I have metal uppers and got metal bottoms on last month (2/14). After being in uppers from 10/6/05, I didn't think bottoms would be that bad. But, as some of you have said, bottoms have been a lot more to get used to than the tops were. Maybe I'm sorer as I have crowding...
