Interesting question, from what I've read class 3 bites are less common than class 2, which only seems to add to the mystery. Perhaps it could be because the before and after photos for class 3 tend to be more dramatic, and therefore the patient is more likely to post the results online and viewers...

i feel you
this whole process is anxiety inducing!! initially my surgeon said he'd only really have to operate on my bottom jaw but now that i've progressed in my orthodontic treatment my top jaw sort of shifted and now deviates from my midline. so idk

i mean if your lower jaw is recessed but your upper jaw deviates from the midline or something like that is reason enough to have it operated on
