Relax - its only going to get better. No worries. Stuff happens - especially at the beginning. Occasionally a brace will pop off seemingly for no reason. The Waterpik is awesome for flossing with braces. It's a bit messy with water coming out of your mouth so you do it over the sink, but it is a wonderful way to clean around your braces and gums. No one likes to floss - well maybe a few people. I know I don't. I like the clean, but not actually doing...
