Teeth keep budging
I've had my retainer for about 2 years now.. I started wearing mine at night and all day weekends about 6 months ago. There are a couple teeth that always seem to move the same amount each day. Are they ever going to settle so maybe one night I can go to bed without them and just wear them a few tim...

I'm 15-16 months post-op, lower jaw moved back. I can feel anything that touches anywhere on my lower lip and chin, which is great.. But in general my lip still feels stiff, it's strange, it's like internally the lip/chin is still numb while the skin isn't. It's been like that the past 6+ months, if...

Almost 1 year..
It's been almost 1yr since I got my retainer.. I haven't heard anything from my ortho, is it safe to assume I can start wearing them only at night or do I need to give them a call first? The longest I've had them out is about half a day and they seemed a little tight after that but only for about sh...

I have a lower bonded retainer. I didn't get a mold or anything for it! After my bottom braces were taken off the ortho assistant just took a small piece of wire and glued it to my bottom 6 teeth. It seemed very simple and I couldn't believe that was it. Sometimes I wonder if I should get a clear r...

I don't recall ever having extra sensitivity on that tooth. I think there are a few reasons why teeth can become discolored though. Hopefully your other teeth becoming senstive isn't a sign that the same will happen to them. Would certainly bring it up again at your next appt. Looking at some older ...

Here are a few pics, one taken in a different lighting. It looks just a tiny bit longer than the one next to it, didn't really notice it when the ortho first did the shaping. I've decided so try some whitestrips and hope the discolored tooth doesn't become more apparent.. http://i200.photobucket.com...

Discolored Tooth
So I had my braces removed recently.. Now I didn't notice it too much before braces, possibly because it was crooked, I don't know. I didn't notice it too much during braces either because of the braces on them I guess.. One of my upper 2 front teeth is darker than the rest. I notice it, but am not ...

Mountain Dew...but it's loaded with sugar. Just go for the coffee and use dark ligs! I've not noticed a problem with mine. Yeah, I just went with Smokey ligs as they don't tend to stain. Question though.. What if the surface of your teeth stain ever so slightly from the coffee and then when you get...

I feel pretty bad about this.. I haven't been to my dentist since being braced almost 2 years ago. I rarely ever went before, maybe once every few years. They were always happy with how clean my teeth were and would comment how they had nothing to do for me, figured it would be even less for them to...

Deband Date!
Just finished seeing my ortho and we have set up an appointment for debanding! Just 2 1/2 weeks to go! I can't wait!
I had BSSO to correct my underbite 3 months ago, original plan was 6-9months after surgery before I would be done, so happy to be getting out early!

Whitening after braces
I think I am really close to getting a debanding date, my last visit I was told I will probably get a "final date" at my next visit. I want to use some whitening strips or something along those lines afterwards. One my my upper fronts is a shade darker than the rest, my dentist thinks it w...
