Really the only reason I waited so long was due to the fact that I thought I would look awful in braces. I too got metal ones (my choice ... Feel like clear ones stain too bad) after I was braced I was a little self conscious but now I hardly even think about them. I want to smack myself for waiting...

I had three spots for coil springs and I didn't think they hurt all that bad. I've heard such horror stories. I actually just got my last coil off day before yesterday and finally got a hidden tooth braced since the coil made plenty of room. It hurts ten times worse than the coil lol.

It's funny you post this because I'm going on vacation the first week in July and I was thinking the same thing

So I had my 6 month cleaning last week and my dentist (who is also doing my ortho treatment) stated when I go in for my monthly appt tomorrow they are going to brace my hidden tooth finally!!! :jump: :-** :-* I am so excited! I can't believe how fast they moved and how jacked up they were. Granted I know they wasn't terribly bad. I always thought they looked fine ... Until I see how fine they can look! Sorry for the excitement ... No one I know understands how exciting it is

I just got back from my third adjustment now. Had a coil placed on each side on the bottom and a coil on the top right as well as square wires put on.
