During my first ortho consultation, the ortho told me my smile would be different (she said better). I'm still not sure what she meant.

I was/am super worried about metal because of the makeup of metal braces (I have a nickel allergy). I recently found out all braces have 8% nickel in them....

Look up ortho's on Invisalign.com. I found one that was the highest rated in my town. He said I was a candidate when other Ortho's said I wasn't.

Anyone have Nickel-Free braces?
One of the main reasons I was undecided about braces was my extreme allergy to nickel. The first ortho I saw said saliva would protect me from my nickel allergy. I found this to be too convenient...when pressed, the ortho couldn't give me another solution. Curious if anyone went the nickel-free rout...

I've actually thought about making an extra appointment every year (beyond my 2 that are paid for). Just to make sure thinking wicked happens in my mouth. I know my dentist would be happy I was in braces in the first place. I agree you should find a different dentist. Maybe your ortho can recommend ...
