I feel your pain

Eat up before the spacers go in. The afternoon after the spacers go in marked the end of eating normally for me.

Go for it. You are young and little problems now can grow into big problems later. You will adjust to the elasitics

Bite plates are good for weight loss. Suggest you eat a big stake while you can. If they let you avoid spacers they are worth it. Otherwise they are pretty miserable .

I saw your post. Did you take the leap? I am interested to learn more about your treatment. I am dreading being put back in full braces with elastics for a third time.

From your description I am not sure if it is the same thing, but I had a very pronounced trout pout that my braces exaggerated. I was very self conscious about it, but by the end of treatment it had gone away.
