Re: Tongue Crib at 41

Well, I know I haven’t updated my journey in a long time but here it goes… Since my last post I have adjusted even more to it, speech has greatly improved, but still not perfect, I think it won’t improve much more but I do not really care now. People say that they do notice my lisp a little bit but ...

Re: Are masks helping you cope with braces??

If I needed only braces for my treatment I would have donde it a long time ago I have no issues with braces showing. However, and it is a big one, I had been dodging my treatment for over 3 years what really scare me was the tongue crib I needed to help with my tongue thrust, without it having brace...

Re: Got Braces in College at 21

Nowadays braces on adults are a non issue. I had the same fears but worse because I got a tongue crib it is not used often in adults really affects your speech at first and it never gets 100% until you remove it and looks terrible. Re: Tongue Crib at 41

Yes it y very bulky and intrusive. Extremely uncomfortable. But still as bad as I make it seem it is not even 1/10 as bad I thought it would be. I was eating almost normally within 3 days. Within 5 days I had a delicious skirt steak. I just have to take much smaller bites. Talking still bothers me a...

Re: Tongue Crib at 41

Hello, here is my retrospective from the days before og got it. Official disclaimer, there is a lot of childish behavior. Once I had partially decided to get it my next hurdle, I know I was being extremely childish, was talking to my girlfriend about it. We have been together for almost 4 years and ...

Hello: You might want to try this https://xenforo.com/ if it is within your budget. Re: Premolar extraction and tongue habits

Maybe you could ask your ortho for a Retainer with a tongue crib to help retrain your tongue, and wear it as much as possible. At the very least it could help reduce the damage to your treatment.
