Re: Moving molars forward

But she came around and changed some brackets to give me MY smile back. Do you have pictures of both smiles? I have had the same thing d...

Re: Can teeth pushed inwards with braces be moved close to original position with Invisalign

I've had the same thing happen to me - even though I am supposed to be having surgery.

My front teeth are pushed back, and I hate my smile now!

What are you doing for it? Let me know if you found out about Invisalign.

Re: Root resorption

I'm really sorry to hear that, having suffered so much at hands of mine, and I hope things turn out for the best... They mean well, I'm sure (or I want to believe so), but they are misguided by perfection and lead you down paths that you don't want or truly need, just to get perfect teeth out of yo...

Re: Root resorption

Oh trust me, my ortho has done questionable/unnecessary things (such as intrusion) to those same teeth that have root resorption. I have had a second opinion, and they basically said no more movement should be done to those teeth. Which seriously sucks because those teeth are not in the right positi...

Re: has anyone had a repeat BSSO after having a relapse?

^ The relapse happens at the site of the condyles. It's not about the fixation. As the bone erodes away the ramus becomes shorter. Everything then moves up/back/rotates and you get your old jaw back. Here's a visual to help understand it http://image.slidesharecdn.com/icrarnett-150924014947-lva1-app...

Re: Facial changes with braces (not that happy)

Kinda scares me because I have braces on for a 2nd time now!! OH god I hope it doesn't get even worse.   I...

it was for surgery in conjunction with ortho. he was a young(ish) surgeon, who is quite up-to-date (ie willing to do orthognathic surgery with invisalign instead of braces) so i thought he'd be okay with acceledent... i asked "what about acceldent to speed things up?" when discussing timel...

[quote="djspeece"][quote="Vive18"]Are there any risks associated with moving the teeth too quickly? I have condylar resorption of my TMJs. I may need to be in braces for 2 years, so would definitely love to cut the treatment time down. However, one Oral Medicine Specialist I saw ...
