The positioner is a royal pain. I was in it 24 hours a day for 2 months back in the summer of 2006. Anyone needs any advice just drop me a line. Two months FT? That takes the cake. Two days FT was enough for me and that was over a weekend thankfully. Cybersiren, sorry to hear you're having a rough ...

The hawley is a pain. Believe me I've been in them for several years. You just have to keep wearing it. It will get better.

Yea twice a week I have to wear it for 12 hours. Other than that I am in essix retainers which are way more comfortable than my hawleys when i first got my braces off. Days when I am not in the positioner, I gotta wear the essix 24/7 indefinitely. Ugh, such is life. Could be worse, just read my old ...

Glad to know you're doing well Attagirl. I've been on hiatus for a while, spazzy internet, lazy, etc. No re-lapse for a while so I am not getting re-banded anytime soon. How are the hawley's working out cause I know they can be a pain.

Hey all, Sorry I haven't updated this in forever. I am now in Essix retainers 24/7 until further notice. I still could possibly be back in braces if my teeth don't hold in place. The chances are still 50/50 but I am being good about wearing my retainers. I'll try to get some pics up for everyone. To...

Update time Saw my ortho this morning and the X-Rays showed that the relapse is being corrected. Things are moving along very slowly as usual which led my ortho and I to the question. Would it be easier just to go with braces again for six months? I personally after six years+ of appliances and brac...

Ok guys and ladies, update time Well I saw my ortho this morning and we had a discussion. The positioner is working but very, very, very slowly. Initially we thought by the end of August things everything would be fixed, but its looking now like that isn't going to be the case. The positioner works ...

update time Well things have been alright so far. The saliva issue has finally subsided after nearly 3 weeks. Breathing is normal and no speech as usual. Anyone who complains about retainers should be thankful they can speak with them in. The exercises are still a pain in the ass, but as much as I h...

Ok guys update time. Just got back from the check and things are progressing. My ortho was satisfied with the reverse of my relapse. Things are progressing, painfully slowly, but progressing. He said I'm probably going to be switched to dual retainers once the relapse is corrected(end of summer is t...

Update Well adjusting to the positioner has been well...an adjustment. Cattis is absolutely right about the speech, there is none. I tried a couple of times but the it sounds more like spitty giberrish than anything else. My friends have been having a little fun at my expense but I've had worse (heh...

Hey guys thanks for replying. Yea it took a lot of patience on my part through basically six years of othodontic work. I kept my de-banding date a secret to everyone but me and shocked everyone I knew when I went around flashing the Hollywood smile. Now to the update. Ok I got my positioner today at...
