Re: Ever wonder if ortho/staff are not doing great?

Are you perhaps getting the new assistant every visit? I've noticed since I'm such an "easy going" patient at the regular dentist I always end up being the training patient for new assistants for both fillings and invisalign attachments (I'm notorious for breaking them off). My dentist is ...

Re: Phase 2 at 30, never too late.

21 months and 3 weeks. Today is the last day of 9/9 refinements and I'm back to the dentist. Either way I'll get attachments off. I still don't feel like my posterior teeth are making contact completely. One side made a little progress but the other side doesn't feel right. I recently referred a col...

Re: Phase 2 at 30, never too late.

Finally got my refinements 2 months later. The dentist got notification they shipped on 8/18. Turns out they arrived, an assistant picked them up, put them in the back room and told NO ONE. I was so afraid to call/text and bug the office for a 3rd time about an Invisalign update, and I'm glad I did ...

Re: Phase 2 at 30, never too late.

Started tray 35/35 on June 28th, 2016. On July 12th I had my cleaning and Invisalign appointment. The dentist took off all my attachments and examined my teeth thoroughly. I pointed out that there was a straggler on my bottom incisors that needed to just slip forward to line up with the others, that...

Re: Invisalign Tray Removal Tips

I'm on tray 35 of 35 (waiting for refinements for 2 months now) I had um, 11... 15 attachments? Can't remember since they've been off for 2 months but I had a whole side full of double attachments and giant ones on my canines that made me have fangs. Anyway, always start in the back. The next step i...

Re: Phase 2 at 30, never too late.

Wow. Invisalign becomes such a normal part of your life and is so uneventful/gradual you really do forget about it. I only really have pain on days 2-4 after a tray change. Oddly not in the first 24 hours like everyone says. I have broken off tons of attachments. I have really unfortunately prominen...

Re: Phase 2 at 30, never too late.

Even though my next official appointment for trays and a cleaning is next weekend Dr T came and checked out my progress today. She's so excited and enthusiastic it's infectious. She reassured me there's tons of movement already and she's excited to see my problem canine moving, time will tell if it ...

Re: Phase 2 at 30, never too late.

I'm on tray 6. Lost another attachment over Memorial Day weekend. Not sure when but I noticed after going to a BBQ that involved lots of in-outs of the trays as things came off the grill throughout the evening. I also got Costco sized chips and salsa maybe the tortilla chips knocked it off I don't k...

Re: Phase 2 at 30, never too late.

You know you have Invisalign when: you notice a homeowner being interviewed on an HGTV renovation show has shiny plastic looking teeth and a faint lisp so you pause the DVR and check for attachments. Bingo! Invisalign!

Re: Mouth is always so dry!!

Maybe try Biotine toothpaste and wash for a little bit while adjusting, it's specifically formulated for dry mouth. Also consider switching to an SLS free toothpaste that stuff is quite irritating and can dry out the mouth especially if you're getting used to new brackets. Pronamel and most Sensodyn...

Grinders and clenchers before braces, what retainer after?

Curious about anyone who wore a night guard before braces for grinding/clenching, what kind of retainers do you have after? I have had a night guard for 10 years (2 actually) one from hard acrylic the other was hard acrylic on the outside and a soft material on the inside to absorb the clenching for...

Cycling & endurance sports fuel

So it's finally getting consistently nice outside in my neck of the woods! It's about time to take out the bicycle for day long rides again. The last two years I've trained up to do a full two day double century (100mi x 2 days). It's intense and exhilarating, especially crossing the state line on y...

Re: Invisalign at 60, bucket list

Well, I'm only 30 but it's been fairly easy so far. I am on Tray 4 of 35. I do have somewhat sensitive teeth since I used to clench and grind at night. So far I haven't done that at all! Anytime my teeth feel sore or tender 2 Advil do the trick within 10-20 min. The funny thing is that I'm so used t...

Line Up With Me

I've got a tracking thread in the Stories board, but I figured I'd list my blog here too in case someone doesn't look at both. Thoughts on my 35 tray Invisalign treatment: http://lineupwithme.blogspot.com/
