Yes, I started with a white wire, within 2 weeks I was back in my otho's office asking for a metal wire. I was going to have to eventually get used to metal wires since the white wires can only be used in initial start of treatment.

I am 31 and got braced last Aug. Time seems to fly by and you'll be impressed with how soon you start to see things start to move! Don't be nervous, you are one step closer to awesomeness!

I feel your pain on this. So many people at work have been saying I look drastically different. I asked my ortho about this same thing a few months ago and he told me the same thing, that it is really not possible. I dunno, but I notice the difference in myself too.
