Re: Has anyone had their premolar(s) take the place of their canine(s)?
Oh well, my midline is way off, even worse than it was before the treatment due to my having an open coil on the right side to make place for the impacted canine that is slowly making its way down. The coil is pushing my upper teeth towards the left, so the midline is not only shifted, but the teeth...

Re: Has anyone had their premolar(s) take the place of their canine(s)?
Hey there, this is exactly what is going to happen to me as well! I was also looking for people who have had this experience since I'm still early in my ortho treatment and I was curious to know what to expect.
Good luck with your treatment and try not to worry too much

Coronoplasty - tooth reshaping
So, I've been browsing the forum for people with similar experiences, but the threads I found didn't really hit the nail on the head for me. I'm not referring to just evening jagged or uneven teeth, but to completely reshaping a tooth in order to make it replace another tooth and its function. My ba...

Brands of metallic brackets
Hey everyone! A friend of mine is thinking of getting full metal braces, but there's a wide selection of brands to choose from.
Could you please tell me about your metals? What brand are you using, how comfortable they are and if you are satisfied with the results?

Re: When did you notice change?
Before starting my treatment I was also very excited and wondered about the same thing. As I am now over 2 months into braces, I can say that changes do happen every day starting with your 2nd or 3rd day. They are just so subtle that you won't really notice them especially if, like me, you like to s...

Here's a link I found really useful while preparing for the extractions and then afterwards.
Hope it helps!

Hey cherise, I'm really glad to have come upon your story, as I am in a very similar situation as you were when you started your treatment. I am at the beggining of mine, so any info I get to read here is very much appreciated!
So thank you for sharing and I hope your treatment went well!

Re: Waterpik and oral surgery
I'd be curious to know the answer to that as well.
I've recently had wisdom teeth extraction and would like to resume using my waterpik, but don't know exactly when

Re: Wisdom teeth extraction and eating
Uh oh, reviving this older thread :D I recently had my wisdom teeth removed on the right side and also my two baby canines. I was prepared with soft foods, smoothies and bananas, but innthe end I noticed that I could eat pretty much anything as long as I can cut the food in little pieces and shove i...

Re: Poll: At What Age Did You Get Your Braces?
I used to wear mobile braces as a child, but didn't follow the treatment until the end.
Now, at 25, I feel like I can totally pull this off, even though I have an impacted canine that needs to be coaxed down to its rightful place.

Re: WHITE ARCH WIRE
Hey Wendy!
During my extensive research on braces I did come upon this problem of the white layer peeling off the archwire. When it is first put on, it does indeed look better than a metal one, but it does tend to chip off especially if the teeth have a lot to move.

Re: 1st premolar and canine transposition
Thanks for the replies, I'm feeling more reassured about my situation!
It's gonna be a little weird having my permanent canine join the other teeth on the arch instead of hanging solo in front of my premolars, I had kind of gotten used to it :D
