I do the chewing/biting surfaces, then bottom angle, then top angle, the backs of the teeth, then lightly do an "all over" scrub in small circles LIGHTLY LIGHTLY LIGHTLY. This is how the assistant told me to brush

I really like the ACT Braces Care mouthwash! There's no burn and it has aloe in it to help soothe your mouth. No idea if that actually helps, but it's not irritating my mouth either, so

I try to check my teeth using the camera on my phone a couple times during lunch so that I don't realize later that I had something in my teeth the wholeeeeee time.

Oh man, this thread is making me reconsider brushing after every single thing I eat. I've been brushing about 6 times a day, so I'll cut back.

I bought a 3 pack of Blistex Fruit Smoothies. It's ok, I mostly just wanted a couple of cheap lip balms to throw in my bag for the office, at home, and in my purse.

I haven't lost a pound! I've had braces on for three weeks now and have been pretty lucky in that I can eat everything (basically).

I got a toothbrush with a Christmas tree brush at the end, a packet of Super Floss, a dental mirror, a sample of ACT braces fluoride rinse, a coupon for ACT, a sample of Orajel, dental wax, and a list of foods to not eat.

I have a WaterPik Aquarius and it's great! It has a small footprint (great for small bathrooms), comes with a ton of heads, and it works really well. It's a little loud, but I would expect that.

This is actually my course of treatment (minus Invisalign). The first orthodontist I saw was relatively young and suggested that I really need jaw surgery. The second orthodontist was older and was really surprised that a younger orthodontist suggested jaw surgery for my open bite.

27! I have spacers in right now and I'll get braces on next week
