My canine has not moved since the 2 links were taken off so its been over 2 months with no movement. I am going today to have a panoramic xray to see if and how much it has moved. Dr said if it hasnt moved then i may have to go back to oral surgeon and have bone removed and it wiggled. Uggghh. I don...

Re: IMPACTED CANINES CLUB
Ditsy,
When did you have your exposure surgery? I am just curious how long it has taken for yours to show? Was it on the lip side or pallate? I had 2 links taken off within the first 2 months after exposure and now it seems like it wont move????

Re: IMPACTED CANINES CLUB
I went back to ortho yesterday and had 2 chain links removed. I had my exposure on nov 5th. They tightened it again and felt confident i should be able to have 2 more links removed in next months visit and that the tooth is very close. I am hoping so!!!

Re: IMPACTED CANINES CLUB
I paid $5,000 just for top only braces and another $500 for oral surgery. My dental insurance also paid $500 for my surgery, but my braces i have paid on my own. Orthodontic care isnt cheap, fast, or easy. If i need bottom ones later i am estimating it will cost an additional $1500-$2000, but hopefu...

Re: IMPACTED CANINES CLUB
Hmmm, i am begining to think my new visible link was wishful thinking. I could see it under a thin layer of gum and i thought if its that close it will be on through in a couple days but nope. Uggh. I am getting discouraged. My next appt is dec 9th and i really want some extra links by then.

Re: IMPACTED CANINES CLUB
ditsy, that's exactly what I (and kimmyann) had done - expose and bond - we're all in the same boat. kimmyann, i really don't know if the soreness on the bulge would indicate movement - i would think yes, but i don't have the bulge myself, since mine is a bit farther up :( i had my first post-activ...

Re: IMPACTED CANINES CLUB
Ok, my teeth were still hurting this morning. Of course its only the teeth around the gap but they have almost quit hurting and most of the soreness is gone too. By tom i should be good. I did call the ortho this morning and they said yes all that would be normal and next time they see me they hoped...

I was already in this town to see the oral surgeon so i went ahead and got my ortho appt over with too. :jump: . Re: IMPACTED CANINES CLUB
Hey i am very worried about my insisor gum receding. I have always been under the understanding that once your gum recedes it does come back down. Mine has done this due to tipping the tooth some. It is right beside the canine that is being pulled in. Has this happened to anyone? Has it grown back d...
