For those who have went through lower jaw surgery/genioplasty, did you develop a double chin? I'm only day 8 so I'm assuming some is swelling but I hate it. How long until this went away for you?

Ok, yeah I'm trying not to deal myself out and just ask my surgeon about it next week at my first post op appt. Hope it's nothing!

I just had lower jaw surgery and genioplasty last week and I just noticed (although still swollen) that it feels like there is a lump in my jaw around where the incision was when I feel my jaw under my chin. Is this normal? Should I be worried? Or is it just part of the healing?

Cigna covered mine completely other than the deductable and the genioplasty as that is deemed cosmetic.

I puréed up some homemade chili 4 days post op and drank out of a syringe. Best meal so far in my first week!
